This year’s version of the Knoxville Bound Benefit Fundraiser will have
a unique twist. For the past 10 years the benefit has raised money
through donations, raffles and a dinner. In doing so, the money raised
was to help send a person with a life threatening medical condition to
the famous Knoxville Nationals in Iowa and enjoy a weekend of sprint car
racing. However, this year organizer John Perry is changing the location
of the trip. The 11^th Annual Knoxville Bound Benefit Fundraiser is now
sending a person with family and or friends to the World Finals at The
Dirt Track @ Lowe’s Motor Speedway, Charlotte, NC, in conjunction with
the World of Outlaws. “This year we are going to send someone to the
World Finals at Lowe’s because we have a strong relationship with the
World of Outlaws and they have been willing to help out with our event,”
said John Perry.

This year Jennifer Newlin, Director of Merchandise and Memberships said,
"Not only will the family see the best of the best in Sprint and Late
Model racing at the World Finals, but we will be able to host the family
better because it is one of our races on our schedule in our backyard of
Concord, NC." This year’s World Finals features the 410-winged sprint
cars and dirt Late Models of the World of Outlaws competing at the Dirt
Track @ Lowes Motor Speedway. "I am really excited for this year’s
trip," said Perry. "It’s always good to change things up a bit and
create new experiences."

The 11^th Annual Knoxville Bound Benefit is looking for a candidate with
a life threatening illness. If you know of someone who would love the
chance for this amazing trip please contact John Perry at JP’s Paint and
Body Works in Chico or call him at (530) 342-1328. The benefit is now
also excepting donations for the raffle. This year’s dinner and raffle
with take place on July 12^th at JP’s Paint and Body Works. Dinner
tickets are $25.00 and currently on sale at JP’s. All of the money
gathered from the dinner and the raffle go towards the recipient’s trip.
The money will pay for the cost of the flight, rental car, hotel and
weekend passes to the event. The person will also take $1,000 in
spending cash. Any money left over goes into helping other families in
the racing community.

*A big part of the fundraising is the generosity of people like you who
are reading this letter. We are looking for raffle donations of any
kind. The items can be racing themed items but other useful items are
welcomed. Past prizes have included racing shirts, photos, camping gear,
home items and tools. ***

*We are hoping to make the 2008 event the biggest ever. Anything you can
do or provide is greatly appreciated. If you have a donation, you can
send it to JP’s Paint & Body Works or call and we will come to you to
pick it up. We look forward to hearing from you and having another
successful Knoxville Bound Benefit Fundraiser*

Sincerely,
John Perry
